When can a puppy enter Switzerland?

Minimum 15 weeks: rabies vaccination, 21-day waiting period, and commercial import.

For entry into Switzerland, a puppy generally needs a microchip, a European pet passport, and a valid rabies vaccination. The rabies vaccination can be administered no earlier than the twelfth week of life and becomes valid after 21 days. Consequently, in practice, the minimum age is approximately 15 weeks.

When it comes to sales with home delivery or delivery within Swiss territory, this is considered commercial import. In this case, entry cannot occur before 12 weeks plus the 21-day validity period of the rabies vaccination.
