What to check when receiving your puppy
Microchip, passport, vaccinations, and physical condition: the checklist to go through calmly.
Upon delivery, everything must be checked calmly, precisely, and without rush.
Checklist:
- immediately read the microchip
- compare the microchip number with the passport
- compare the passport and microchip numbers with the previously received data
- check previous owners in the passport
- check vaccinations
- check date of birth
- check breed and color indications
- observe the puppy's general impression
Checking the puppy's condition:
- natural and clean smell
- soft fur
- absence of significant knots
- absence of feces in the anal area
- clean eye area
- absence of scabs or strong stains around the eyes
- clean ears
- absence of bad odor from the ears
- absence of obvious and abundant earwax
- well-groomed and not too long nails
